Ingredients

  • 2 cups milk (either dairy or a plant-based option such as almond or oat milk)
  • 2 tbsp chocolate syrup
  • ½ cup fresh or frozen strawberries (or 3 tbsp raspberry syrup)
  • 1 tbsp sugar or honey (optional, for extra sweetness)
  • ¼ tsp vanilla extract (optional, for added depth)
  • Whipped cream (for topping, optional)
  • Shaved chocolate or sprinkles (for garnish)

Instructions

  • Blend the pink base:
In a blender, combine the strawberries (or raspberry syrup) with ½ cup of milk and blend until smooth. If using fresh strawberries, strain to remove seeds for a smoother texture.
  • Heat the chocolate milk:
In a small saucepan over low-medium heat, add the remaining milk and stir in the chocolate syrup. Heat gently, stirring occasionally, until warm (but do not boil).
  • Combine flavors:
Add the blended pink mixture to the warm chocolate milk, and stir until combined. Taste and add sugar or honey if you prefer it sweeter.
  • Serve:
Pour into glasses and top with whipped cream, shaved chocolate, or sprinkles if desired.

Notes

  • Custom Flavor: For a more intense fruity taste, add 1-2 tbsp extra blended fruit or a drizzle of strawberry syrup on top.
  • Chill It: To enjoy it cold, blend everything together and serve over ice.
  • Dairy-Free: Use almond, oat, or coconut milk to make it dairy-free and vegan-friendly.
  • Make Ahead: Store in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 2 days, but stir before serving.
